Location of Salt Spring Island and The Blue Heron Bed and
Breakfast
 |
Salt Spring is the largest and most populated of the
beautiful Canadian Gulf Islands. The island is situated
between the major cities of Vancouver on the mainland of
British Columbia and Victoria on Vancouver Island and is
serviced mainly by BC Ferries,
although air access is available from both the
mainland
of BC and Washington
State. There are also a number of
marinas
for those who wish to travel by their own boat
For those travelling by boat, you can moor at Fernwood Dock
and take a few minutes walk north on North Beach Road
to The Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast. |
|
The Gulf Islands are known for their beauty and laid back
life style as well as an extremely moderate climate year
round. They enjoy the highest rate of annual sunshine in
Canada.
The main town on Salt Spring Island is
Ganges
and it offers a wide variety of services and acts as the center
for the Islands
resident
artists.
